Obituary

David W. McCrindle, 77, of Oregon, OH passed away Friday, May 12, 2006 in the Lutheran Home at Toledo. He was born in Flint, MI on December 2, 1928 to Douglas and Hazel (Marion) McCrindle. David proudly served his country in the US Navy. He was employed as a billing clerk for the Ohio Pipe Trades-MacKinnon-Parker, and was former owner of the Peppermint Stick on Navarre Ave.  David was an avid tennis player, coin collector, was a Boy Scout leader and member of Christ Dunberger Post #537..    Surviving are his loving wife of 39 years, Jacqueline; step daughter, Sherrie (Frank) Fata; grandchildren, Cori (Matthew) Hartley and Brian Fata; great grandson, Lukas Hartley; daughters, Linda (Ray) McKaskill and Nancy (Doug) Marcum; son, Matt McCrindle; sister-in-law, Betty McCrindle, and several nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his parents and brother Carlton.   Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, on Sunday, May 14, 2006 from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 10:30 a.m. with interment following in Willow Cemetery.  Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in David's memory are asked to consider the Lutheran Home at Toledo.
