McDANIEL, David, age 70, of Toledo, Ohio passed away Friday, April 20, 2018. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on July 9, 1947 to Olen Virgil and Agnes (Gadus) McDaniel. Dave, aka Mucca, graduated from Cardinal Stritch High School in 1965 as part of their first graduating class and was later inducted into their Athletic Hall of Fame in 1999. He was also inducted into the Birmingham Hall of Fame for his contributions to the community. Dave is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Barbara Mascsak. He is survived by his daughters Shannon (Eric) Maza and Kristen (David) Van Wert; four grandchildren, Jacob and Julia Maza and Kayla and Dana Van Wert; brothers, James and William McDaniel; sister Jackie Bell; numerous nieces and nephews; his daughters' mother Mary Jo McDaniel; and his extended family The Pasztors. He enjoyed telling the same stories over and over, drinking a good glass of wine, making jewelry, rounds of golf when he was able, and visits from his children and grandchildren. He will be deeply missed. In lieu of flowers and in Dave's memory, the family ask that donations be made to the William Pasztor Memorial Scholarship Fund.
