David Sadin, 77, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 7, 2026, at his home, surrounded by the family he loved so deeply.
David was born on November 17, 1948, in Palma Soriano, Cuba, to Felipe and Esther Sadin. In the 1960s, David made the courageous journey to the United States, beginning a new chapter of his life and building a home, a career, and most importantly, a family. His journey was one of strength, perseverance, and love.
On October 6, 1997, David married the love of his life, Alejandra Sadin, in Toledo. Together, they shared 29 years of marriage. Their life together was built on love, devotion, and the many little moments that become the memories we hold onto forever.
David worked at Doehler-Jarvis before changing careers and joining Mercy, where he continued working until his retirement. He was a hardworking man who believed in doing what was needed for his family and taking care of the people he loved.
He was proudest of being a good husband and of raising his children. His family was his greatest joy and his greatest source of pride. He loved deeply, cared fiercely, and always wanted the best for those he loved.
David was truly an amazing person and, without a doubt, one of a kind. He had a special way of being himself, genuine, caring, strong, and unforgettable. He was the kind of person whose presence became a part of your life, and whose absence leaves a space that can never quite be filled. His family will remember his love, his strength, his stories, and all the ordinary moments that now mean so much.
David found happiness in the simple things. He loved spending time in his garden, fishing, reading, and staying informed about the news and the world around him. He was curious and thoughtful, and he enjoyed learning and keeping his mind engaged. But above all, he loved his family. The time he spent with them was what mattered most.
David will be forever loved and deeply missed by his loving wife, Alejandra Sadin; daughter, Alejandra Sadin; son, Manuel David (America Parra-Gonzalez) Sadin; step-son, David Haims; brother, Omar Sadin; and granddaughters, Khalya Angel and Ximena Sadin-Gonzalez.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Felipe and Esther Sadin; brother, Felipe Sadin; and sister, Dalia Alvarado.
Though David's life has come to an end, the love he gave will not. His family will carry him with them, in their hearts, in their memories, and in all the pieces of their lives that he helped shape. His greatest legacy is the family he loved so dearly and the love he gave them every day.
David was one of a kind. He was an amazing husband, a loving father, a cherished brother and uncle, and a truly special person. He will be missed more than words can say, but he will never be forgotten.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026, from 12:00 - 3:00 p.m. at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. A Celebration of Life honoring David will begin at 3:00 p.m.
