David R. Schlicher, 73, Of Oregon, OH passed away on Monday, March 2, 2015 in Promedica Toledo Hospital. He was born on February 18, 1942 in Toledo, Ohio to Robert and Norcille (Jackson) Schlicher. David worked for Fiske Bros. Refining as a forklift operator for 25 years retiring in 1997. He was active with the Swiss Society, GBU, GAF, Swiss Golf League and the Waite Has Beens. He also enjoyed spending many vacations at Ft. Myers Beach, FL and watching OSU Football and Duke Basketball. Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Barbara A.; Daughter, Dawn (Michael) McGaffey; sons, Todd and Dean (Ann Marie O'Connor) Schlicher; grandchildren, Morgan, Cameron and Ayden; brother, Thomas (Ginny); sister, Mary Jo (Robert) Klem; sister-in-law, Juanita Hughes; beloved bulldog Daisy and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 6, 2015 from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Saturday, March 7, 2015 at 11:00 am. Interment will be private.
