David G. Soncrant, 53, of Northwood, Ohio, passed away peacefully September 12, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. Dave was born in Oregon, Ohio on March 8, 1965 to Richard and Gloria (Zunk) Soncrant. On July 23, 1988, he married the love of his life Mary Jo Venglarik. Dave enjoyed attending concerts and traveling, especially to Disney World with his family. He enjoyed fishing and had a love-hate relationship working on cars. Dave worked as a sales engineer with Co-Op Tool Division of Hammill Manufacturing and was a member of the German American Festival Society and Toledo United Swiss. Dave is survived by his wife of 30 years, Mary Jo; children, Michael (Tracey) Soncrant, Sarah (Shawn Manion) Soncrant, and Amber (Sean Harger) Soncrant; brothers, Richard Soncrant, Jeffrey (Julie) Soncrant, Keith (Carol) Soncrant, and Troy (Melanie) Soncrant; father and mother-in-law, Charles and Dorothy Venglarik; along with many nieces, nephews, loving family members, and granddaughter, Emma due October 15th. He was preceded in death by his parents and nephew, Bradley Soncrant. The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road (east of I-280) on Sunday, September 16, 2018 from 11:00 am – 8:00pm. Per David's wishes, there will be no Mass. Memorials may be directed to Dave's family.
