Dean A. Schultz, 83, of Millbury, passed away Friday, February 4th at Mercy St. Charles Hospital, Oregon.
He was born in Northwood, Ohio on January 31, 1928 to Ernest and Florence (Mills) Schultz. Dean was a veteran of the US Army during WWII. On March 24, 1962, he married Edna Eddy. Dean was employed with Champion Spark Plug for 31 years, retiring in 1981. In later years, he worked for Avis Rent-A-Car and was owner and operator of Deano'™s Dynasty since 1983. Dean was also a driver for ABC Auto Auction. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Perrysburg, where he served as a High Priest and financial clerk. Dean enjoyed attending his grandchildren'™s sporting events.
Dean is survived by his wife of 48 years, Edna, children, Don (Gayle) McKenzie, Catherine (James) Studneski, Karl (Lynn) Schultz, and Gayle (Jim) Wilson; 19 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren,1 great-great- granddaughter, and sister, Kathryn Marshall. He was preceded in death by his parents, son and daughter-in-law, Denis (Joyce) Duncan, granddaughter, Veronica, and brothers, Melvin, Gerald, and Donald Schultz.
Friends may call at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Sunday, February 6th from 2:00-8:00 pm and Monday, February 7th from 4:00-8:00pm Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at 11:00 am at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 11050 Avenue Road, Perrysburg. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor'™s choice.
