Delcie Banning, 83, of Toledo, Ohio, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2005, at Harborside of Perrysburg. Delcie was born in Pearl, Kentucky, on May 28, 1922, to Garrett and Mary (Maiden) Lambdin. On April 17, 1948, she married Benjamin Banning, who preceded her in death in 1998. Also preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, Alfred and Arnold Lambdin. Delcie was a very faithful member of the Athens Missionary Baptist Church for 42 years. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Debra and Timothy Trowbridge; grandchildren , Evan and Amy Trowbridge, whom she loved very much. Also surviving are her brother, Edward Lambdin; sisters, Edith Frasure, Frances, Charlene and Juanita Hurst, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, on Wednesday from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 am in the Athens Missionary Baptist Church, 101 W. Breckman, Walbridge, Ohio, where the family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
