Delores L. Downey, 93, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away February 10, 2018 at Heartland of Oregon. Dee was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on July 9, 1924. On January 6, 1943, she married Thomas Downey Sr. Delores worked at Collins & Parker Drug Store and in later years volunteered at Mercy St. Charles Hospital, Bay Park Community Hospital, and Heartland of Oregon. She enjoyed family occasions, was an avid bird watcher, loved dogs, and was accomplished at knitting and crocheting. Dee is survived by her children Thomas (Kris) Downey Jr. and Kenneth (Shelley) Downey; 5 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and son-in-law, James Musson. She was preceded in death by her husband and daughter, Delores Musson. A memorial service will be held at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 1:00 pm. Memorials may be directed to Promedica Hospice.
