Delphine A. 'œDolly' Grosso, devoted mother, lost her battle with cancer on July 15, 2011. She was born in Toledo on December 27, 1928 to Constantine and Wanda Kasprzak. Delphine went to St. Hedwig grade school and graduated from Woodward High School in 1946. She was employed with Sam Davis as an officer with the company for over 30 years. Delphine was a talented artist, baker and seamstress. She loved traveling, playing Bridge, polka dancing and spending time with family and friends. Delphine was a long-time member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church as well as the Conn-Weisenberger American Legion Auxiliary.
Delphine is survived by her husband of 14 years, Leonard Grosso,
Sr.; children, Joan (Duane) Webster, Carol (Barry) Fowler, David West; step-children, Leonard Grosso, Jr., Trish and Kathy Grosso; grandchildren, Adam, Julie, Amy, Suzanne, Amanda, Melissa, Lenny III; 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Earle West; brothers, Daniel, Norbert and Melvin Kasprzak; sister, Rita Matuszak.
Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Scripture services will take place at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at St. Ignatius Catholic Church, 212 N. Stadium Rd. at 10:00 a.m. where the family will greet guests beginning at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery.
