Dennis "DJ" Bryant, 31, of Detroit, Michigan, formerly of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2021 in Oakland County, Michigan. He was born on January 20, 1990 to Dennis Bryant and Michelle Oliver. DJ attended Clay High School and worked as a Mechanic for Chrysler for 8 years. DJ had a true passion for the outdoors. He loved boating, fishing and hunting trips with his grandfather and "brothers from another mother." He played various sports growing up. He played baseball for the Holy Rosary Royals, football for the Eastside Raiders and went on to play for Clay High School. DJ loved sports to the point he coached his son, Leonard "LJ"s first baseball team that filled his heart with joy. He loved to travel, as those close to him know. He married his true love, Tierra, just a few short weeks ago and they went on their honeymoon to Jamaica to celebrate their marriage. DJ's family was very proud of his accomplishments and what a strong, loving and full of life man he had become. Dennis is survived by his loving wife, Tierra; son, Leonard Williams; parents, Dennis (Olivia) Bryant and Michelle (Tim Kamelesky Jr.) Oliver; siblings, Mackenzie Bryant, Dominic Giovanoli, Cody Giovanoli, Samantha Leonhardt and Carter Kamelesky; grandparents, Mark (Sally) Lengel, Carester Oliver and Elaine Bryant; uncle, Tim Oliver (Lisa Tammerine) and Brian Bryant; and many cousins and a great group of friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Dennis Henry Bryant. The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Monday, September 20, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Calvary Church, 1360 Conant 43537. The service will start promptly at 11:00 a.m. immediately followed by a wake until 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions in Dennis' name can be directed to his family, Calvary Church or a charity of your choice.
