Dennis Lee Doxsie, 39 of Luckey, Ohio and formerly of Petersburg, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday, May 1, 2003 at St. Charles Mercy Hospital. Dennis was born in Toledo on December 23, 1963 to Burnell "Joe" and Darlene (Mohr) Doxsie. Dennis graduated from Eastwood High School in 1982. On June 13, 1987 he married Gaileen Miller. He was a member of Lambertville United Methodist. Dennis was a maintenance mechanic for the past 12 years at Jones Hamilton Corporation. He was an avid hunter and a outdoorsman, but his love for his family was number one. Surviving are his wife, Gaileen Doxsie; loving children Kendra and Wesley Doxsie; parents Burnell "Joe" and Darlene Doxsie; brother, Keith (Karen) Doxsie; sister, Cindy (Bob Turner) Doxsie, grandmother, Wilma Doxsie Leonard; niece, Jesse-lyn Doxsie; nephew, Austin Doxsie. Also surviving are aunts, uncles and cousins. Dennis was preceded in death by his grandparents, Burnell Doxsie, Fred and Bertha Mohr. Family will receive friends at the Eggleston-Meinert Funeral Home Woodville Road Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, Millbury, Ohio on Sunday from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Monday at 11:00 with Pastor Thomas Zimmerman officiating.
