Dennis J. Volk, 48, of Oregon, OH passed away June 3, 2004 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on March 1, 1956 in Madison, WI to Lawrence and Cora (Gilbertson) Volk. Dennis was employed by the Chrysler Jeep Corp. for 24 years, retiring in 2002. He was a member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church, enjoyed wood working and mechanical projects, but most of all enjoyed life and cherished time spent with his family and friends. Dennis had a passion for music, especially for the blues.
Surviving are his wife, Teri; son, Anthony Volk; mother, Cora Volk; sister, Debi (Doug) Corning, Madison, WI; father-in-law, Robert Persiani; sister-in-law, Tina (Jon) Minnick and brothers-in-law, Mark (Anne) and Tom (Kristin) Persiani . Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence and mother-in-law, Dorothy Persiani.
Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon, OH on Friday, June 4, 2004 from 2-7 p.m. Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. and proceed to St. Ignatius Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Ignatius Cemetery.
