Dennis W. Winnie, 63, of Oregon, Ohio passed away April 10, 2011 in his home. He was born in Oak Harbor, Ohio on December 12, 1947 to Wallace and Bernadine (Benadum) Winnie. Dennis was a member of New Life Pentecostal Church. He was a U.S. Air Force Vietnam Veteran. Denny'™s sense of humor, faith, kindness, love of music and family were what distinguished Denny'™s life. His long courageous battle with mental illness never diminished what was truly important in life. Surviving are his brother, Sy Winnie, Oregon, OH; sister, Cherie (Robert) Stock, Salinas, CA; nephew, Aaron Sannes, Portland, OR; aunt, Maxine Van Allen, Oak Harbor, OH; cousins, Gail Skinner, Fremont, OH and Gale Pocs, Curtice, OH. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents. Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., on Friday, April 15, 2011 from 12 Noon until the time of the funeral service at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
