Diane M. "Didi" Kreger, 73, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2017 after her battle with dementia and Alzheimer's. Diane was born on August 17, 1943 in Toledo, Ohio to Brenton and Isabelle (Sargeant) Slater. Diane lived in the Toledo area much of her life, until moving to South Carolina with the love of her life nearly 20 years ago. She had an uncanny connection to animals and loved to care for them, whether they were exotic, wild or domesticated. Diane was a lifetime collector of Precious Moments, enjoyed arts and crafts and spending time with loved ones. She always embraced life, was the model of strength and love, and was admired by anyone who knew her.
She is survived by her faithful and loving partner, Jack Reindel, who has been the epitome of strength and support. She's also survived by her sisters; Deb Slater, Barb (Harold) Forrey; brothers, Dean (Karen) Slater, Larry (Helen) Slater; a multitude of nieces, nephews and many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Family and friends may visit Eggleston-Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. Oregon, Ohio 43616, on Saturday, January 7, 2017 from 11:00 am until the time of memorial service at 1:00 pm. Inurnment will be private. Memorial contributions may be directed to Riverview Healthcare Auxiliary.
