Diane Vas, 60, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio surrounded by her loving family. She was born on November 27, 1952 to Floyd and Theresa (Mellon) Sarra. Diane enjoyed sewing, tending to her garden and cooking, especially her chicken paprikas and stuffed cabbage. She was a devoted wife and mother who loved spending time with her grandchildren. Diane is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth; mother, Theresa Sarra; children, Colleen (Jason) Billheimer and Brian (Natalie) Vas; siblings, Mike (Louise) Sarra, Charlene (Dan) Vidra, Marybeth (Bruce) Kirby, Joseph (Jackie) Sarra, Timothy Sarra; 7 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Floyd Sarra. Visitation will take place at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Rd., on Friday, January 11, 2013 from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin on Saturday with prayers in the funeral home at 10:45 a.m. and proceed to St. Jerome Catholic Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. followed by luncheon and fellowship.
