Donald A. Bauer, 96, of Deltona, Florida, and formerly of Oregon, Ohio, passed away Monday, December 9, 2013 at his son'™s residence. Donald was born in Toledo, Ohio on November, 9, 1917 to Albert and Mary (Seelman) Bauer. He served his country in the US Army during WWII. Donald was employed with New York Central Railroad for 40 years, retiring in 1978. He was a lifelong member of Oakdale United Methodist Church and later attended Unity United Methodist Church. Donald is survived by his sons, Larry ( Judy) Bauer and Rodney (Diane) Bauer; grandchildren, Brad (Annelise) Bauer, Christopher Bauer and Judy Bauer; great grandchildren, Addicen, Bayley, and Cayden Bauer. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rowene; and sister, Irene DeHainaut. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Monday, December 16, 2013 from 9:30 am until time of funeral service at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at Willow Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to a charity of the donor'™s choice.
