Donald R. Bell, 70 of Oregon, Ohio passed away Friday, October 5, 2007 at St. Vincent Regional Heart and Vascular Center surrounded by his family.   He was born in Toledo on August 8, 1937 to Robert and Hazel (Dexter) Bell.  Don was a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1959-61.   He was a Clay High School graduate.  Don retired from Oh io Bell- AT&T after 37 years where he worked various departments.  After his retirement and for the last 13 years Don and his wife, Esther worked as a team installing life lines for many area residents, this was known as their day trippin.   He was a member of First St. John Lutheran Church where he had served as an Elder.  Don was a member of the Toledo Telephone Pioneers, Lifetime member of CWA, Friends of Pearson Park and Toledo Power Squadron where he was the education officer until 1992.  Don enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren.  He loved his Detroit Tigers also enjoyed boating, rebuilding engines and old farmall tractors.  He had rebuilt two tractors, almost completing the third, being one for each grandson and was still undecided what to rebuild for his granddaughter..   Surviving are his loving wife of 46 years, Esther; children, Cindy (Tom) Cluckey, Charles Chuck (Andra) Bell; grandchildren, Chelsea and Hunter Bell, Logan and Thomas Cluckey.  He was preceded in death by his mother and step father, Hazel and Glen Reese; father, Robert Bell; brother, Richard Bell and sister, Sharon Susor.   Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road. on Monday from 2-9 p.m..  Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at First St. John Lutheran Church 2471 Seaman Street, Toledo at 11:00 a.m. and where the family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery.  Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Don's memory are asked to consider First St. John Lutheran Church.   www.egglestonmeinert.com Visitation: Visitation Times 2-9 p.m. Monday October 8, 2007 Eggleston Meinert Pavley Oregon Chapel
