Donald F. Billings, "The Ragman", treasured father, husband, and friend, died in Toledo, OH on February 24th, 2026 at the age of 69. Don was born on October 30, 1956 in Millbury, Ohio as one of four children to Robert and Dorothy (Hansen) Billings.

He graduated from Lake High School in 1974, going on to attend The Ohio State University from 1974-1976. He was a faithful Buckeye for the remainder of his life.

Don was an avid sportsman and outdoorsman, spending much of his life fishing, hunting, and boating. He was always to be found at his happiest under the sky or on the water. Don had been an active member of the Toledo maritime community since 1976 as the owner of the Ragman Canvas Company.

Don was cherished not only by his family, but by many friends and members of his community who knew him by his jovial nature and sharp tongue. He kept a home full of life and laughter, loved his dogs like family, and never missed a chance to host his friends and family. Don relished life's simple pleasures, always taking the time to savor a good meal, a good book, and good company to share it with.

Don was preceded in death by his wife Deborah (Carter) Billings, who passed in 2021. Don is survived by his children, Adriane (Matthew) Zaniewski, Wesley Billings, and Hunter Billings; his grandchildren, Dylan, Caitlyn, Kendyl, Wyatt, and Monroe. As well as his siblings, Kay (Robert) Johnson, Robert (Claudia) Billings, and Ronald (Sara) Billings

His quick wit, careful wisdom, and kind heart will be forever cherished and remembered by his family, friends, and any who knew him.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026 at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., one hour prior to the service.
