Donald F. Birr, 77, of Toledo, OH passed away, Thursday, April 27, 2006 in Hospice of NW Ohio surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Toledo, OH on June 22, 1928 to Clarence and Bernice (Flanagan) Birr.  Don was a US Navy veteran, serving during World War II. He had been employed at Libbey Owens Ford as a production line worker for over 30 years, retiring in 1980 and worked at the East Toledo Boys Club for 17 years. Don was an avid bowler who also enjoyed working in his yard.     He is survived by his children, Cheryl (Donald) King, David Birr and Lori (Donald) Renner; companion, Nancy Abraham; brothers, James (Nancy) and Thomas (Mary Ann), sister, June (Harold) Watt;  grandchildren, Shondie (Matt), Erin (Jason), Ryan, Chris, Jason, Jackie and Jamie; great grandchild, Bryce and extended family, Cathy, Nancy (Jim) and Jazzmine. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and two sisters.   Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home,, 440 S. Coy Rd. on Sunday, April 30, 2006 from 2-5 & 6-9 p.m. with a scripture service at 7 p.m.  Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 10:00 a.m.  Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park. Expressions of sympathy in Donald's memory can be made to the American Diabetes Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
