Donald J. Boisselle, 75, passed away on April 20, 2011 at Orchard Villa surrounded by his loving family. He was born on May 28, 1935 to Raymond and Lucille (Ruhnke) Boisselle. Don was a cement mason for Local #886 for 30 years and then worked for another 10 years as a voting machine technician for the Lucas County Board of Election before retiring in 2004. He was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, the Paragon (Yondota) Masonic Lodge and the Scottish Rite. Don dedicated a great deal of his time to coaching and sports. He coached the Waite High School Soccer Team for 21 years, was the President of the East Toledo Junior Football League for 15 years, worked with the Oregon Pal Program for 10 years, coached wrestling for the East Toledo Family Center, and was involved with the Junior Olympics. Don had the honor of meeting and 'œgloving' boxing great Mohammad Ali. Don enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Don is survived by his wife, Rosemary; children, Michelle (Tim) Haynes, Kevin (Melissa), James, Jacqueline Blossom, Donald (Jennifer); 15 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; sister, Mari Louise (Glenn) Phillips. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughters, Christiana and Coraleen; brothers, Robert, Raymond, Charles; sister, Carole Abercrombie. Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., on Friday, April 22, 2011 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 1:00 p.m. with interment to follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
