Donald E. Busdeker, 78, of Oregon, OH and formerly of Millbury, Ohio, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2005, in Bay Park Community Hospital. Mr. Busdeker was born in Luckey, Ohio on December 17, 1926, to Harmon and Minnie (Layman) Busdeker. Donald was a US Army Veteran of World War II. He had been employed as an electrician and mold maker at the Libbey-Owens-Ford Glass Company for over 30 years, retiring in 1975. Mr. Busdeker served as a past councilman for the city of Millbury and was active in creating the "Little League" baseball program in Millbury.
Surviving is his son, David (Rita) Busdeker, brothers, Virgil and James Busdeker; sister, Lillian Dusing; daughter-in-law, Denise Busdeker; grandchildren, Danee McDowell, Donnie Busdeker, Stephanie Krylangitses, Andrew Busdeker and Jon Busdeker; great-grandchildren, Sierra McDowell, Kylie, D.J. and Brendan Busdeker. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margaret; son, Thomas; brothers, Raymond, Richard and Willard Busdeker; sister, Dorothy Black.
Family and friends may visit at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, Millbury, OH on Friday from 2-9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Clay Township Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy in Donald's memory can be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. The family would like to thank the staff at Bay Park Hospital for their loving care of Donald.
