Donald F. Gable, 81, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on Sunday December 20, 2015 at Heartland of Oregon, with a loved one by his side. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 7, 1934 to Francis and Dorothy (Suhrbier) Gable. He was a Roofer for Local 134 for over 50 years. Donald was happily married to Barbara Ann (Wilson) Gable for 59 years before she passed away in 2013. He enjoyed fishing and playing cards, especially Euchre and Flip Six. Donald's family was extremely important to him. Donald is survived by his children, Beth Ann (Jack) Wroblewski, Troy (Paula) Gable and Luann (Jim) Mravec; grandchildren, Tim (Brooke) Gable, Victor and Brooke Gable, Hunner and Tanner Mravec and Caylee and Lucas Gable; brother, Tony (Kay) Barnes Jr.; and sister, Kathi (Jim) Lorann. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; sons, Don and Brian Gable; and several other siblings. Friends may visit at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., on Tuesday December 22, 2015 from 2 pm until 8 pm. A brief military service will be held to honor Donald's time spent in the Army at 7:00 pm.
