Donald Schacht, 70, of Toledo, Ohio went to be with the lord on Sunday, October 22, 2006, at Bay Park Community Hospital.  God needed a talented musician and second tenor for his heavenly choir. Don was born in Pittsburgh, PA on October 10, 1936 to Walter and Alice (McFadden) Schacht.  He retired from Arbor out of Canada and Total Foods out of Michigan and was an active member of the GAF society and Swiss singers.   Don is survived by his significant other and caregiver, Ruth (Young) Schacht; sons, Donald (Kim) of Toledo, OH, Mike (Diane) of Lexington, SC and Mark (Teddie) Schacht of Toledo, OH; step-daughter, Johanna (Michael) Foss of Cleveland, OH; step-children, Fred (Debbie) Young, Cindy Taylor, Kathy McGranahan and Jennie (Danny) Broyles all of Toledo, OH; 5 grandchildren, 11 step-grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; brother, Robert (Louis) Schacht of Suitland, MD; sister, Elizabeth Sednick of Syracuse, NY; many cousins, nieces, nephews and best friends, Lenny and Margaret Bassler.   Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Tuesday from 2-9 p.m. and where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 am.   Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.  Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Don's memory are asked to consider the charity of the donor's choice.    Don will be deeply missed and loved by his family and friends.  We definitely will miss his sick sense of humor.  Special thanks to Dr. Kahn, Dr. Jan, Cindy and staff along with all the ICU nurses and complete staff of Bay Park Hospital for their care and loving thoughts.
