Donald Wesley Schuster, 72 of Ida, Michigan passed away peacefully in his residence on Saturday, December 12, 2020 with his family by his side. Don was born in Toledo, Ohio on April 2, 1948 to Wesley and Gladys (Reau) Schuster, who each have preceded him in death. He graduated from Whitmer High School in 1966 and then joined the United States Marine Corps where he served in Vietnam. Don was Honorably Discharged in 1969. Upon returning home, he enrolled in trade school and received his Tool and Die Maker Certification. Over his 35 year career, he worked for various companies and retired from Chrysler Jeep Corporation in 2008. Don loved the outdoors, bowling, being with his family and garage talks. Nothing made him smile more then to teach his grandkids how to hunt, fish and shoot.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 46 years, Cindy; daughters, Michelle Healy, Jessica (John) Dusa; Kristina Schuster; grandchildren, Makayla, Brayden and Grace; sisters, Donna Fling, Carol (Verne) Kille; brother, Ron Schuster.
A Christian Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, Dec. 18, 2020 at 11:00AM at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 5856 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo, Ohio where the family will greet friends one hour prior to the Mass. Due to Covid-19 and all the new restrictions, there will not be a luncheon after.
