Donald L. Walton, 58, of Genoa, OH, passed to eternity on May 8, 2005. He was born on July 31, 1946, to Harvey and Adaline (Albright) Walton, who preceded him in death. Don served his country in the Marine Corps from 1966 to 1969. He was a retiree of the Daimler Chrysler Corp., retiring on May 31, 2004, with 34 years of service. He was a graduate of Clay High School and married the love of his life, Kathy (Daugherty) Walton on June 17, 1995, in Mauii, Hawaii. She gave him the family that he never had, a son, Kenny Harp, Oak Harbor, OH and his fiance, Laura Morrin; daughters, Betty (Marty) Huckaby, Lake City, TN, Tammy Lafferty and fiance, Scott Dennis, Temperance, MI and Kendra (Todd) Mitchell, Perrysburg, OH; 7 grandchildren, Kenny Kimball and Adam Huckaby of Lake City, TN, Renee Reinhart, Paris and Raivan Overmyer, Temperance, MI, Joey and Olivia Mitchell, Perrysburg, OH; Grampa got to witness Olivia's entry into the world. He was the brother-in-law of Van Daugherty, Lake City, TN, Joyce Skirvin, Diane Daugherty, Toledo, OH, Robbin Braden, Lake City, TN; numerous nieces and nephews; his new family, Dorothy Goans, Briceville, TN, who loved him as a son, and all his friends, too numerous to mention, from the UAW Local 1435. Don was the greatest man that most knew. We will miss you Don, and we will always remember you in our hearts. Friends and family may visit at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road at Starr Ave. on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-9 p.m. where funeral services, celebrating Don's life, will be conducted on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
