Donald E. Wingerter, 91, of Genoa, Ohio passed away at Otterbein Portage Valley in Pemberville on January 7, 2018. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on March 22, 1927 to Fred and Ruth (Smith) Wingerter. Donald worked at Star Elling for 48 years, before retiring in 1989. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Genoa. Donald is survived by his daughter, Carol (Richard) Burbach; 2 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and sister, Dorothy (Paul) Brown. He was preceded in death by his wife, Leona Wingerter; parents; son, Donald J. Wingerter; and daughter-in-law, Margaret Wingerter. Funeral services will be private. Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road is assisting the family with arrangements. Interment will be in Clay Township Cemetery.
