Donald Wright, 77, of Curtice, Ohio passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 23, 2018 in Sioux City, Iowa. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on November, 27, 1941 to Ray and Mildred (Chaney) Wright. Don served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Reserves and was employed as a tool grinder for 31 years with the General Motors Hydromatic Plant, retiring in 1991. He was a member of the Jerusalem Township Volunteer Fire Department for 30 years and enjoyed playing shuffleboard and water volleyball. Surviving are his son, Kevin M. (Debbie) of Curtice, OH; daughter, Tami K. (Tim) Stevens of Sioux City, Iowa; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Elaine; son, Todd; brother, Ray and sisters, Marilyn Flack and Bonnie Shank. Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 2:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Tim Stevens officiating. Interment will take place in Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to Jerusalem Township Volunteer Fire Department.
