Obituary

Donna Cedoz joined her husband, Bernard, the love of her life, on Wednesday, December 10th. Donna was an amazing woman. She was so supportive, loving and thoughtful - not only to her family, but also to her friends and co-workers. She was an excellent multi-tasker, an avid reader and an expert crossword puzzler, doing the New York Times crosswords in ink. Also a cat lover, Donna enjoyed her special cat, Sugar. Donna was born Donna Mae Burr on April 18, 1927. Her parents were Walter (Tony) and Lydia (Ehrsam) Burr, who preceded her in death. She met her soul mate a Clay High School. They were married on January 11, 1945. She and Bernard were inseparable through 65 years of marriage, until his death in 2010. Donna worked as a secretary at Coy Elementary School for 32 years. She loved the children, and mothered the teachers. Her job and the people associated with it gave her some of the best times of her life. She also took an active part in her husband'™s 'œhobby', sprint car racing. Together they owned cars and traveled the country from 1960 until the mid 1970'™s. Among their drivers were Rollie Beale, Al Beale, Vern Schmidt and their future son-in-law, Karl Busson. Her greatest and proudest achievement was her family. Donna was a loving mother to Joanne (Gary) Henningsen, Dianne (Karl) Busson, and her son Charles, who passed away in 2011. Donna treasured her grandchildren, Lisa (Troy) Anderson, Shanna (Keith) King, Donna Henningsen, Kurt Busson and Kelly (Tim) Rains. She was also blessed with wonderful great-grandchildren, Bryce, Brant, Garret and Molly Anderson, Kenna, Kyle and Kaylee King, along with Justin, Jordan, Jacob and Paige Busson and Evyn and Seth Rains. We will all miss her dearly. The family would like to express thanks to the kind staff at Parkcliffe Community in Northwood for their care, and also offer a special loving thank you to friend and caregiver, Linda Carr. We are grateful, too, for the great staff at Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their help and support. Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel 440 S. Coy Rd. at Starr Ave. on Friday December 12, 2014 from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be conducted in the funeral home on Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. Contributions in Donna'™s memory may be made to First St. John Lutheran Church, Hospice of Northwest Ohio or the Toledo Area Humane Society.
