Obituary

Donna Mae Dienes, 78, of Toledo, passed away on May 30, 2010 in the University of Toledo Medical Center. Mrs. Dienes was born in Curtice, Ohio on February 15, 1932 to John and Eva (King) Varro. She was the widow of John Dienes Jr. who preceded her in death in 2007. Donna served as an Avon sales representative since 1968. Known as 'œDean'™s Avon House' she was acknowledged by Avon as the nation'™s #1 sales representative at the peak of her business. Mrs. Dienes served as both a Girl Scout leader and Cub Scout den leader and was a member of the Unity (Oakdale) United Methodist Church. Surviving are her daughter, Janet Susan (Warren) Freier; son, Jerry J. (Julie) Dienes; sister, Alice Melcher. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Betty Sofyanos. Friends may call in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, on Tuesday from 2 to 9pm. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday at 10:30 am. Interment will be in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
