Obituary

My Name is Donna Marie Hooks, and on May 17, 2003 I passed away in my home with my family at my side. I was diagnosed with cancer in September 2000. I have done my best to fight the disease with all my might. Surviving is my husband Jon, and my two sons--stepson Johnny, and son Jason. My surviving family members include; Harry and Sandi Taylor (father and stepmother); siblings, David Taylor (Theresa), Gary Taylor, Harv Taylor, Rick Taylor and Brenda Cox (Tom); stepsiblings, Deb Newhouse (Bill) and Shelly Corbin. There are several nieces and nephews that meant the world to me, they are so very special. I worked at Leaseway Transportation from 1980-1990, Genoa Ford 1991, and Martin Marietta, Woodville from 1992-2002. Cancer is a very bad disease. I tried to live my life to the best of my ability. My family meant the world to me, and the way you get through a disease like this is to have your familys support. You have to make the best of every day and live your life like there is no tomorrow. My friends that I have go above and beyond the call. There was never a time when I needed something, there was always someone there to help. You have to believe that God has a plan for you, and you hope that you can live your life the way that He would have wanted you to. I am not afraid, God has been with me every step of the way. As long as God is in your heart, mind, and soul, you will always be okay. Please remember to always love your family and your friends. Tonight when you go to bed, remember to thank God for that day, and give your kids and your spouse an extra kiss and hug. Let them know that they are loved now and always. Remember that I am not gone, I will always be in your heart. I will always be watching, listening, and praying for you. If there is any wish I would have, it is to have anyone that knows me or cared for me, please help my family. They are the most precious things on earth. Keep them in your hearts and in your prayers. God will always be with them, and so will I. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 am in the Eggleston-Meinert Funeral Home, Woodville Road Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, Millbury, OH where visitation will be Monday from 2 to 9 pm. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery. Instead of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity, Bono Baptist Church, or Solomon Lutheran School. Thank you to everyone for your help and support. I will always be in your heart. Visitation: Visitation Times Monday, May 19, 2003, 2-9 pm Woodville Road Chapel
