Donna Marie Moore (née Rancour), age 62, passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2026, after a brief but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Donna was born on February 18, 1964, in Elyria, Ohio. She is survived by her sons, Joseph M. Moore (Shaunna Jeubenville) and Conner J. Moore; sister Kathleen A. Rieger (Douglas); niece Rachel K. Menge (Christopher) and grand-niece Cadence J. Menge; and uncle Jerry Sokol (Teri), cousin Chad Sokol (Stacey), and second cousin Savanna Sokol. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Richard L. and Joann S. Rancour; grandparents LeRoy and Julia Rancour, and Anna and Joseph Sokol; and uncles Robert Rancour and John Sokol.

She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Elyria High School, class of 1982, and graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminology from Bowling Green State University in 1986. She continued with post-graduate education and enjoyed sharing her knowledge during a brief stint as a graduate assistant.

Donna then began a fruitful 33-year career, retiring in 2022 as Director, Lucas County Adult Felony Probation. Through the decades, she helped countless individuals with her compassion, dedication, and expertise. But some of her favorite roles were in the retail sector, as she was a people person and loved to strike up a conversation with her regulars.

Above all, Donna's greatest joy was her sons. She enthusiastically supported them in every stage of life, whether cheering from the stands at their games or celebrating their professional accomplishments with pride and admiration.

Known for her love of helping others, Donna will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who knew her. But her spirited disposition will live on in memories as a comfort to all.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26, from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Rd. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Peter Church, 35777 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville, Ohio, at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, with Reverend Father Robert Franco as the celebrant. Burial will take place at St. Mary Cemetery in Elyria, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorial donations to Ebeid Hospice Center in honor of Donna.
