Doratha H. Petsche, 95, of Toledo, Ohio died on Saturday, September 27, 2002 in the Lutheran Home at Toledo where she was a resident of the Assisted Living for the past year. Doratha was born on July 23, 1908 to Dudley and Dora (Taylor) Larmie in Tupper Lake , NY and lived most of her life in the Toledo area. As a young woman, Doratha worked as a telephone operator for Ohio Bell and later as a PBX operator and supervisor with St. Charles Hospital retiring in 1975. She had a green thumb for gardening and grew beautiful roses. She is survived by sons, David G. (Julia), James and Don (Fran) Petsche; sisters, Zelma Newsom, Lily Jakab and Bonnie Mestre; 3 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Doratha was preceded in death by her husband, Louis A. Petsche, brother, Don Larmie and grandson, David L. Petsche. There will be no visitation and funeral services for the family will be held on Tuesday with burial in Willow Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Doratha's memory may be given to the Lutheran Home at Toledo Assisted Living. Arrangements are being handled by the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Homes.
