Doris M. Halka, 78, of Curtice, OH, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio. She was born in Toledo, Ohio, on June 30, 1930, to John and Veronica (Florkowski) Jachimiak. Doris enjoyed the outdoors, bird watching and spending time with her family. Surviving are her sons, Ronald (Kathy), David (Donna), Fred Jr. (Terri), Ray (Karen) and Brian (Luann); sisters, Virginia Stamm and Alice Mikolajczyk and 8 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fredrick J. Halka Sr.; sister, Phyllis Michalak and brother, Danny Jachimiak. Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., Oregon, OH, on Friday from 2-9 p.m. where funeral services will be conducted on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Interment will take place in Oakwood Cemetery.
