Doris Ann Hirschy, 62, of Toledo, Ohio and formerly of Willard, Ohio passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2003 in St. Luke's Hospital in Maumee, Ohio. Mrs. Hirschy was born on October 19, 1940 in Verda, Kentucky to Alfred and Rosa (Hunter) Spears. She was a graduate Waite High School and The Ohio State University. Doris was a school teacher for 14 years in the Willard City Schools before her retirement in 1997. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Willard, Kappa Delta Pi, Ohio Education Association, National Education Association and the Ohio Retired Teachers Assocation. Surviving are her loving husband of 44 years, David E. Hirschy Sr.; sons, David (Ellen) Hirschy of Bucyrus and Thomas (Constance) Hirschy of Columbus; mother, Rosa Spears of Toledo; grandchildren, Meagan, Brandon, Jackson, Jacob and Zachary; sisters, Laverne Cramer of Raleigh, NC and Linda (Bob) Spychala of Luna Pier, MI; brother, Tom (Kathy) Spears of Toledo; six Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Alfred Spears. Friends may call in the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, where visitation will be Tuesday from 3 to 9 pm. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home on Wednesday at 1:00 pm. Intombment will follow in the Toledo Memorial Park Mausoleum.
