Doris J. Mysinger, 77, of Curtice, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2015 surrounded by her loving family at Hospice of northwest Ohio, Perrysburg. Doris was born on August 23, 1937 in Vinton, Ohio to Marion and Charlet (Deckard) Hughes. On August 6, 1957, she married Kennieth Mysinger. Doris worked for Nationwide Insurance, a dog food factory, and a shoe store before becoming a full time wife and mother. She was a member of Northwood Church of God, where she served on the Board of Trustees, head of Vacation Bible School, president of the Women of the Church of God, Benevolent Committee, Board of Christian Education, and as a Sunday School teacher for many years. Doris enjoyed watching basketball, golf, bowling, and softball; where she served as the team scorekeeper for many years. Doris's true love was her church and her family; especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Doris is survived by her children, Kennieth (Elizabeth) Jr., James, Theodore (Elizabeth), Samuel (Melissa), Joy, and David; grandchildren, Nicole (Justin), Jessica, Erica, Trisha, Cassandra, Samantha (Jon), Joshua (Fallon), Matthew, Emily, Felicia (Muneeb), Faizuly, Jashira, Nicole, Tasha, and Wesley; great-grandchildren, Cailynn, Olivia, Alex, Brendan, Jordin, Jayden, Aubrie, Zain, and two on the way; along with many nieces, nephews, and loving family members. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Garnet Ann (James) Jeffries; brother, John Dexter Hughes; and great-grandson, Marcus Allen.
Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Friday, February 6, 2015 from 2:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 11:00 am in Northwood Church of God, 1838 S. Coy Rod, Northwood, where the family will greet friends beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Hospice of northwest Ohio or the Toledo Zoo African Safari.
