Doris Nusbaum, 88, of East Toledo, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at the Manor of Perrysburg into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father. She was born on August 6, 1927 to James Calvin and Blanch Virginia (Green) Hopkins. She grew up in East Toledo and was a graduate of Waite High School. Doris and her mother enjoyed traveling to see family in Tennessee and Michigan. She also did some traveling with her friends to many places. Doris worked for Toledo Trust/Key Bank for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by many family members. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Michael (Trina) Nusbaum and daughter, Betty (Richard) Emery; grandchildren, Rafael and Sean (Kim) Grabowski; Michelle Samson Nusbaum and Lawrence Nusbaum; great grandchildren, Zachery and Katie Samson; Dawson, Zachary, Chloe and Brynli Grabowski. Friends and family may call at Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday January 8, 2016. Funeral services will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the Funeral Home with interment to follow at Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Toledo Humane Society.
