Dorothea Marianna Reynolds, 88, of Oregon, Ohio passed away after a short illness at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo Campus, on Wednesday, November 5, 2025. Dorothea was born in Oregon, Ohio on January 30, 1937 to Frank and Martha (Zajac) Reynolds.
She was a 1955 graduate of Clay High School and worked for what was then known as Kaiser Jeep Corporation in Toledo. In the early 60's she married and moved to Miami, Florida where she lived and raised her son, Gregory Vega. Her first husband died in 1966 and later she married Robert Rondeau. She worked as administrative assistant to the CEO of American Bankers Insurance Group in Miami for over 20 years. She enjoyed learning about many things throughout her life, was a member of Executive Women International, a docent at the Vizcaya Museum in Miami, and going back to college. After retiring she returned to Oregon and married Robert Besgrove, an old friend from home she had not seen for more than 40 years.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Gregory Vega; stepsons, Robert (Kim), David (Theresa), and Mark (Tina) Besgrove; niece, Cindy Basden; and many nieces and nephews.
Dorothea was preceded in death by her parents; previous husbands, Terrance Vega and Robert Rondeau; current husband, Robert Besgrove; sisters, Louise Chasteen and Claire Jean Chancey; and brother, Frank Reynolds.
At the request of Dorothea, services will be private for the family.
