Dorothy E. Ankele, 89, of Oregon, OH passed away on Sunday, June 27, 2004 at Lutheran Home at Toledo. She was born on September 2, 1914 to Edwin and Ida (Hartwick) Quigg in Toledo. Dorothy was a member of New Hope Community Church. She had a generous, giving spirit, was a wonderful cook, especially Lake Erie Perch, and loved to entertain. Dorothy is survived by her daughters, Jayne (George) Lajti of Maineville, OH and Penny (Richard) Pillsbury of Clio, MI; sisters, Margie Judy of Point Place, OH and Leah Keaton of Oregon, OH; brother, Robert (Joyce) Quigg of Oregon, OH, 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Clarence and daughter, Marilyn Crouse; sister, Helen Quigg. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2004 from 6-9 p.m. at the Eggleston-Meinert-Pavley Funeral Home Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon. Funeral services will begin conducted in the funeral home at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Interment will follow in Lake Township Cemetery.
