Dorothy Z. Awe, 95, passed away on October 10, 2012 at the Lutheran Home at Toledo. She was born on March 11, 1917 to Rollie and Beulah (Steese) George. Dorothy was an ordained Deaconess of the Wesleyan Church. She was active in her husband'™s ministry in various pastorates in Ohio and Illinois. Her greatest joy was being a wife and mother. She thoroughly enjoyed being a homemaker and loved to bake cookies. Dorothy is survived by her children, Deborah (Ronald) Jurski and Dean (Lyz) Awe; grandchildren, Carrie (Josh) Byer and Daniel Awe; great-grandchild, Eli Byer; sister-in-law, Thelma George; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Orville; brothers, Don, Dick, Pete and Dale George. Friends may visit at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd., on Thursday, October 18, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
