Dorothy I. Baker, 87, formerly of Ironwood Ave. in east Toledo, passed away Sunday,January 12, 2003 in St. Charles Mercy Hospital. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on May 16, 1915 to Louis and Lillian (Lohmeyer) Kern. For the past two years, Dorothy resided at Heartland of Oregon. She was employed at Links Restaurant on Central Ave. for over 20 years, retiring in 1986. Surviving are her son, Ronald L. (Theone) Baker, Oregon, OH; daughter, Sandra McCormick, Corona, CA; sister, Leona Kamenar, Painsville, OH; 7 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Harold,who passed away in 1944. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 16, from 2-9 p.m. in the Eggleston-Meinert Funeral Home, Coy Road Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road at Starr Ave., Oregon, OH. where funeral services will be conducted on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be in Willow Cemetery.
