Dorothy L. Dearsman, 91, of Oregon, passed away Sunday, January, 22, 2012 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on January 10, 1921 to Frederick and Cora (Schwalm) Rusling. On August 16, 1940, she married Herbert Dearsman and he preceded her in death November 16, 1992. Dorothy was a lifetime member of VFW Post #9816 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing euchre and trips to the casinos in Windsor. Dorothy'™s unfulfilled wish was to own a pink Cadillac convertible. Dorothy is survived by her children; Danny Dearsman, Ralph (Karen #1) Dearsman, Linda (Nate) Brinkman, and Gerald (Karen #2) Dearsman; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and daughter-in-law, Dolly Dearsman. She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Duane, Donald, and Herbert Jr.; grandchildren, Scott Dearsman, and Chad Brinkman; 3 sisters and 3 brothers. Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Friday, January 27th from 2:00-9:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted 10:00 am Saturday in the funeral home. Interment will follow at North Oregon Cemetery.
