Dorothy G. O'Shea, 87, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 26, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. Dorothy was born August 21, 1934 in Toledo, Ohio to Adolph and Dorothy (Brown) Mack and graduated from Waite High School in 1952. On March 3, 1956, she married the love of her life, Charles O'Shea. Dorothy was a lifelong member of Memorial United Church of Christ serving as a Sunday School Teacher and countless ministry and mission projects over the years. She was an accomplished seamstress; making cloths and costumes for family, friends, and neighbors. Dorothy was a longtime member of the Arthur Dailey American Legion Auxiliary and the Mercy St. Charles Hospital Guild. Dorothy is survived by her sons, Charles (Lyn) O'Shea Jr. and Michael (Judy) O'Shea Sr.; grandchildren, Michael (Sarah) O'Shea Jr., Elizabeth (Ryan) Huntermark, James O'Shea, Caitlin O'Shea, and Carly (Zachary Ankney) O'Shea; 7 great-grandchildren with one on the way; and brother, Harry (Carol) Mack. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles; and grandson, Joshua Laston. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 1:00 pm with visitation following until 8:00 pm at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, 440 S. Coy Road, Oregon. Graveside services Thursday, January 6, 2022 at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park at 12:00 pm. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Memorial United Church of Christ.
