Dorothy I. Garcia passed away Monday, July 8th at St. Charles Hospital in Oregon, Ohio. Dorothy loved her family dearly. She loved to cook and listen to Bible stories and music. Surviving are her children, John (Darlene) Garica, Oscar Garcia, Betty (Mike) Valez, Michael (Julie) Garcia; her grandchildren that she raised as her own, Amador Pena, Elizabeth Pena, Amanda Pena, Estella (Joe) Pocs, Cynthia (Robert) Bock, Juston and Dominic Garcia. She has 10 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; brothers, Sebastian (Lee), George (Elizabeth) Salas, Marty (Irma) Salas; sisters, Alice (Joe) Jiminez, Betty (Joe) Resendez, Mary (Freddie) Luevano, Linda (Cristobal) Garcia, Dora Beatriz, Helen Salas; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Ramiro; her parents, Sebastian and Trinidad Salas; brothers, Ronald, Ruben, Raymond and Diamond Salas; nephew, Michael Salas. Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel on Thursday, July 11, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with prayer services at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will take place on Friday, July 12, 2013 in the funeral home beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Restlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Garcia Family.
