Dorothy L. Heck, 90, passed away on August 17, 2010, at the Lutheran Home of Toledo. She was born on July 8, 1920 in Media, Pennsylvania to James and Bertha (Habbersett) Daltry. Dorothy was a 50 plus year member of the former Euclid Methodist Church and was currently a member of Unity United Methodist. She was member of the Palestine Chapter of the Order of Eastern Stars. Dorothy is survived by her step-son and daughter-in-law, David and Armella "Jane" Heck; close friends, James and Sandra Norton, Ruth Kinney; step-grandchildren, Gregory Heck, Dianne Earl and Judith Saunders; and 5 step-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; her parents; and brother, James Daltry. Visitation will take place at the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Rd. on Thursday, August 19, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The Palestine Chapter of Eastern Stars will hold services at 7:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 7:30 p.m. Interment will take place Saturday in Mount Hope Cemetery, Middleton Township, Pennsylvania. Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy in Dorothy's name are asked to consider Unity United Methodist Church or a charity of the donor's choice.
