Dorothy Kreszowski, 88, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 14, 2016, at Ebeid Hospice facility, Flower Hospital. Dorothy had an extensive battle with dementia and Alzheimer's, but finally lost her battle to Alzheimer's with her family by her side. Dorothy was born June 11, 1927 in Oregon, Ohio to Homer and Elizabeth (Schrader) Brundage. While growing up in Oregon, Ohio, Dorothy attended Clay High School and developed a lifelong devotion to religion, attending First St. John's Lutheran Church throughout her life. After high school, Dorothy worked at Ohio Bell as a telephone operator. In 1964, she married David Kreszowski and continued to work at Ohio Bell until raising two sons, Doug and Keith, with David. Dorothy later worked in the retail business for Sears until the late 1990's. She was an avid bowler most of her adult life, participating in many church and other leagues. She also enjoyed activities with family and friends. Dorothy enjoyed traveling to various parts of the world with her husband, David. Dorothy is survived by her loving husband, David; sons, Dr. Doug (Lori) Kreszowski, Keith Kreszowski; grandchildren, Katrina and Derek Kreszowsk; sister-in-law, Sandy (Clayton) Brundage; and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Jane Swanson; twin brothers, Clifford and Clayton Brundage.
Friends may call at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Friday February 19, 2016 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm. Funeral services will take place on Saturday at 11:00 am. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to First St. John's Lutheran Church, Promedica Ebeid Hospice, or a charity of the donor's choice.
