Dorothy M. Metzger, 84 formerly of Oregon, Ohio passed away Sunday, February 2, 2003 in her residence. Dorothy was born in Toledo, on February 21, 1918 to Henry and Clara (Schumacher) Goeckerman. She was the widow of Clement Metzger who passed away in 1994. Dorothy was a member for over 50 years of St. Mark Lutheran Church, Woodville Road and a member of the Esther Circle. Before her retirement Dorothy was a cashier for Foodtown Grocery Store. In 1996 Dorothy moved with her son and family to Florida. Surviving are her son, Daniel (Linda) Metzger of Lake Wales, Florida, granddaughter, Laurie Metzger of Lake Wales, Florida; sisters, Marilyn Lintner of Fostoria,Ohio, Joan Savage of Walbridge, Ohio. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held on Wednesday 2-9 pm at the Eggleston-Meinert Woodville Road Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road, Millbury, Ohio where her funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday.
