Obituary

Dorothy M. Schilling, 78, of Graytown,  passed away on Thursday January 4, 2007 in the Perrysburg inpatient unit of Hospice of Northwest Ohio.  Dorothy was born in Toledo on November 18, 1928 to John and Lillian (Daly) Eteau.  She was the widow of Donald who preceded her in death in 2002.  Mrs. Schilling was employed as a school secretary for the Benton Carroll Salem School System working at Carroll School for most of her 26 years of service.  Dorothy would retire from the school system in 1995.  She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church where she served on the church council and was a member of the church choir and Dorcas group.  Her other memberships included the Country Culture Club, Pinochle Card Club, Tuesday morning bowling league and the Oak Harbor V.F.W. Auxillary.  For many years she was very active in both the Toledo Repertoire and Genoa Civic Theaters. Dorothy was an avid Tiger fan and loved to do crossword puzzles.  She was also a gifted artist, seamstress and cake decorator. Surviving are her daughters, Christine Burr, Analee (Doug) Moffitt, Mary (Randy) Allen; sons, John (Randi ), Eric (Sallie), Lincoln (Anne) and Raymond (Lori)Schilling; sister, Mary Gable; 20 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jack Eteau. Visitation will be held on Sunday 2-9 p.m. in the Eggleston Meinert Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Rd., Millbury, OH. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 11:00 am in St. John Lutheran Church,  Rocky Ridge where visitation will begin at 9:30 and continue until services begin at 11:00. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions in Dorothy's memory may be made to either St. John Lutheran Church or the charity of the donor's choice.
