Dorothy Schroeder, 86, of Oregon, Ohio, passed away on Monday, April 11, 2005, in her home. Dorothy was born on October 5, 1918, in Oak Harbor, Ohio to Elroy and Esther (Hillman) Meng. She was the widow of Merlin Schroeder who preceded her in death in 1996. She and her husband were the owners and operators of Best Cleaners for over 30 years.
Surviving are her daughter, Sharon (Larry) Skeldon; son, Jim (Linda) Schroeder; sisters, Joyce Goodsite and Joan (Jim) Miller; grandchildren, Robert (Tara) Hahn, Eric Hahn, Christopher Hahn, Amy Skeldon, Scot (Mette) Schroeder, Gregory (Heidi) Schroeder; 9 great-grandchildren; special friend, Naomi Allgier and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Donald Meng; sister, Margie Kilmer.
Graveside services will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in Lake Township Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions in Dorothy's name may be sent to Eastminster Presbyterian Church or in honor of her husband Merlin to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
