Dorothy L. Sebring, 93, of Walbridge, Ohio, passed away peacefully, Monday, March 12, 2018, surrounded by her loving family at The Manor of Perrysburg. Dorothy was born in Walbridge, Ohio on August 16, 1924 to Clifford and Angela (Traver) Adkins. Dorothy was a graduate of Walbridge High School and enjoyed life as a homemaker. She was a wonderful cook and provided care to her mother for many years.. Dorothy was married to Earl Mills and later married Deloy "Sebie" Sebring on January 8, 1955. Dorothy and Sebie cherished their friendships at Cooley Canal Yacht Club, Dunberger American Legion Post, and Eastern Lanes; and enjoyed spending time at the lake. Dorothy is survived by her children, Annabelle (Daniel) Howe and Sharon (Thomas) Knieriem; grandchildren, Shannon (Matt) Schlumbohm, Amy (Steve) Simkus, Dr. David Knieriem, and Adam (Meghan) Knieriem; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Cecil (Elizabeth) Adkins; special cousin, Ella Freeman; along with many loving family members. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Deloy; brothers, Charles, Kenneth, and Donald; sisters, Elizabeth Henton and June Kreischer; and step-daughters, Helen Mae Timmons and Leah Bateson. The family will receive friends at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Millbury Chapel, 1111 Woodville Road (east of I-280) on Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 2:00 pm – 8:00pm. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, March 16, 2018 at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Lake Township Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Northwest Ohio, St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Graytown, or a charity of the donor's choice. Dorothy's family wishes to thank the caring staff at The Manor of Perrysburg and from Hospice of Northwest Ohio; along with her caregivers, Linda and Lindsey for their loving care; along with Pastor Robert Brandt for his visits.
