Dorothy M. (Howell) Shell, longtime resident of Haines City Florida, passed away Friday, April 22, 2011. She is a previous resident of Oregon, Toledo and Danville, Ohio as well as London, Kentucky. Dorothy is survived by her brothers, Pearly (Blanche) Jones, Dempsey (Lillian) Jones; sisters, Ruby (Wilbert, dec.) Howell, Helen (Dean) Brooks; sons, Ralph, Jr. (Kathy) Haney, Kenneth (Gail) Howell, Donald (Janet) Howell, Larry (Donna) Howell, Thomas (Linda) Howell, Richard Howell; daughters, Bonnie (Floyd) Pierce, Carol (Fred) Schmidt; 27 grandchildren; 59 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lola Jones; father, Jasper Jones; husbands, Harry Howell and Enoch Shell; brother, Lloyd Jones; grandson, Kevin Howell. Visitation will be held at the Eggleston Meinert & Pavley Funeral Home, Oregon, Chapel, 440 S. Coy Road on Friday, April 29, 2011 from 2:00-8:00 pm. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 am Saturday in the funeral home. Interment will follow at North Oregon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arenson Ave., Auburndale, FL 33823.
